My name is Shalynn Meador and my journey into chiropractic care began when I was injured and seeking relief. I was competing at the NJHSRA Finals when my horse threw me forward resulting in me hitting my ribs on the saddle horn. I was in severe pain that even medication had no effect on. The only person who could provide relief for my injury was a chiropractor and after my first adjustment I knew that this is what I wanted to be.
I grew up in Missouri however I have Texan in my blood and it has always been my dream to live here since I was a little girl visiting my grandparents. Like Decatur, I grew up in a small town and like many of you share the same small town values. I grew up in a rodeo family and competed on the Missouri Valley College Rodeo team. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors, with my family and with my animals. I enjoy various types of crafting including sewing, painting, and building or refurbishing various furniture items. I graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in December of 2025 with my Doctorate of Chiropractics and from Missouri Valley College in 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. 
One of the most rewarding experiences in my practice has been getting to treat patients who have been chiropractic patients consistently for years. Their faith in my profession and my abilities reminds me each day how one adjustment can change someone’s pain for a little bit but consistent chiropractic care can change someone’s quality of life.
